Kicking and Kicking and Kicking Some More

I'm 17.5 weeks along now. It seems to be going so much more quickly this time. I think it's because Audrey is marching steadily towards her birthday. Time just keeps going faster and faster. I told her a few months ago that she wasn't allowed to get any bigger but she clearly did not listen to me then.

I suppose I should get used to that, huh?

Anyways the other night Mark and I were lying in bed watching TV when I felt a couple of kicks from the baby. (I've taken to calling the baby "he". I hate saying "it" and my gut tells me we're having a boy. Hopefully we'll find out for sure at my ultrasound in a little over a week. I'd be happy either way!) Mark put his hand on my stomach and I promptly told him there's no way he was going to feel the kicks. I was only 17 weeks. I'd only been feeling the baby for maybe a week. It just wasn't going to happen. Besides, I was more like 23-24 weeks the first time he felt Audrey kick.

I was wrong.

This baby kicked right where his hand was. A big, hard kick. As if "he?" was trying to prove me wrong.

I haven't stopped feeling the kicks (day and night) since.

I think this one is definitely going to be a soccer player.

Or maybe the next Jet Li.

Who knows?

(And here's a video of Audrey refusing to walk on camera. Stubborn? Not MY child!)
